Can Yoga help with back pain?
Yoga has been found to help people with various types of back pain. It can:

- Help in healing injured back muscles. Yoga helps ease lower back pain by gently stretching and strengthening the muscles of the lower back and legs and increasing blood circulation, which in turn brings healing nutrients to the injured tissues

Am I too old or too young to start Yoga?
Yoga is gentle enough to be practiced by almost anyone of any age or fitness level. The beauty of Yoga is that you do not have to be able to do all the positions. You can work within your own limitations and tailor your practice to specific needs.
Should I do Yoga if I am pregnant?
We stongly advise you to consult your doctor before beginning any exercise programme during pregnancy. Yoga has been found to help women get through their pregnancy with minimal discomfort. It has also been shown to help women in the birth and post-delivery stages
How often should I practice Yoga? Like any form of exercise regular and committed practice produces results. Once a week is the minimum, however, it is best to start slowly and build up to 3-4 times a week, the most important thing is to listen to your body and adjust your activity accordingly |
