What is Total Toning?Total Toning is a mixture of Aerobics and Toning giving you a full body workout. Aerobics is the cardio section of the class and a fun way to burn calories!! Aerobics is a form of physical exercise that combines rhythmic aerobic exercise with stretching and strength training routines, with the goal of improving all elements of fitness (muscular strength, cardio-vascular fitness and flexibility). Aerobic exercise conditions the heart and lungs by increasing the oxygen available to the body and by enabling the heart to use oxygen more efficiently, increasing blood flow and circulation. It also helps to control body fat, increase your energy and stamina level, decrease tension and aid in sleeping. The Toning section is simply getting your muscles toned and in shape, while at the same time decreasing deposits of fat (as your muscles get stronger they eat up body fat). This section of the class works all the major muscles groups, mobilizes the joints, and burns calories, in a fun way! |
